Distance Learning

Program faculty are committed to providing access for learners whose location or other circumstances prevent weekly classroom participation. However, students using off-campus modalities are generally expected to attend class in person a minimum of two times per quarter, as determined by course faculty. In several courses, it may be necessary to come to campus more often.

Our distance learning is mainly focused on easing participation for learners in Washington state - our PMHNP program is NOT feasible from other parts of the country.

Various courses include enhancements for video-streaming, video-conferencing, web learning and phone conferencing. We anticipate future capability with live audio and video web conferencing to Seattle campus classrooms from your home or work computer.

UW library and course websites provide access to library materials, Powerpoint presentations and handouts, as well as web-based interactive learning activities (e.g. discussion boards).
